"I had two vintages of some wines to compare, including this one. The 2019 Cholo, a varietal Loureira, shows more nuance and complexity than the 2020, and it has 11.8% alcohol and a sharp palate with a low pH and very good acidity that makes it vibrant and long. It has balsamic notes reminiscent of bay leaf (the meaning of loureiro/loureira in Gallego) and citrus freshness. It's long and finishes with a dry sensation despite having some residual sugar that seems to counterbalance the high acidity quite nicely and goes unnoticeable. 2,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in August 2020."
