La Araucaria, Solera es un vino de nariz expresiva, cuerpo redondo y pleno con sabores punzantes, salinos y un toque de dulzura en el final. Elaborado con una mezcla de vinos viejos y alguno más joven.
La Bodega La Araucaria se encuentra situada en Valle de La Orotava, norte de Tenerife Islas Canarias. Surge como continuación de la anterior/antigua Bodega Montijo, de mediados del siglo pasado, con nueva dirección, propósito, meta y filosofía.
Nariz expresiva con aromas reductivos y notas de semillas de sésamo tostadas; es bastante original, con un cuerpo redondo y pleno con sabores punzantes y salinos y un toque de dulzura en el final.
"I tasted a very unusual wine that was a one-off that Dolores Cabrera sent as a bonus sample, a curiosity that she found in the winery. The white NV Solera 114 Años comes from a blend of old wines that were kept for children when they were born, for their wedding or something extraordinary in their lives. It was blended with some younger wine, part of it bottled, and then the bottles were uncorked and blended with younger wine. What came out of the bottle that I got was a deep amber-colored white with an expressive nose with reductive aromas and hints of toasted sesame seeds; it is quite original, with a round and full body with pungent and saline flavors and a touch of sweetness on the finish. It's complex and harmonious and would be more versatile if it didn't have that sweetness. Only 360 bottles were produced."
